Dawlish Musical Theatre Company is proud to present their 60th Anniversary Production - the classic family musical “Half A Sixpence”. Based on HG Wells’ novel “Kipps”, this endearing musical is a firm favourite on stage and silver screen. The story revolves around cheeky chap, Arthur Kipps, whose life changes when he inherits money. Kipps tries to become part of the upper set, loses all his old friends and seemingly forgets his childhood sweetheart Anne, who carries the other half of his sixpence until Kipps realises he doesn’t belong in this new world and that money can’t buy happiness!

Featuring well-loved songs like “If The Rain’s Got To Fall”, “Flash bang wallop!” and of course “Half A Sixpence”, this show will be a colourful, toe-tapping event for all the family!

Lyrics for “A Normal Working Day”, “My Heart’s Out There (What Should I Feel?)”, “This Is It”, “Be Determined”, “The Cricket Match”, “No Need Of Economy”, “Finesse”, “That’s What Money’s For” and “What Should I Feel?” by Warner Brown.
